Tree Farm Mini Sessions 2024
I am so excited for these mini sessions and I can’t wait to create beautiful photos for you!
These minis will be outdoors at Krueger’s Christmas Tree Farm in Lake Elmo, MN.

WHERE DO WE MEET?
*Please plan on arriving to the tree farm at least 10 minutes early. This is very important so that we can start shooting right at your scheduled start time. Due to the fast paced nature of the day, I am not able to accommodate extra time due to late arrivals. There will be a few minute walk from the parking lot to the “cut your own” fields, where the photos will take place.
Please park in the main parking lot when you arrive (parking in other areas in not permitted). From there, it is a short distance to the “Photography meet up sign”. My assistant will meet you there about 5 minutes prior to your time slot and will walk you to our photo spot. You can see where the sign is located at the farm by referencing the image below. It is marked with a red X.
*A portable restroom will be available at the farm if needed. It will be located next to the small white warming house.
* The tree farm is not currently open for cutting trees until after November 15th.
WHAT DO WE WEAR?
It’s best to keep the coordinating simple. Try not to overthink it. I recommend picking 2-3 complementary colors and carry them throughout your outfits. You will want to dress warmly (plenty of layers) since we will only be taking photos outdoors. **Scarves and hats make cute props as well as keep you toasty during your session.** Below are some color palettes that can work well for these photos.
WHAT TO BRING:
It is not necessary to bring anything, however please plan for the weather. Large blankets for warmups can work great (as a prop too) as well as hand and foot warmers tucked into coat pockets. I recommend wearing coats (especially children) for the walk to and from the parking lot.
TIPS FOR A SUCCESSFUL MINI SESSION
1. Plan outfits in advance
2. Get plenty of rest.
3. Make sure children are well fed.
4. Arrive to the farm at least 10 minutes early so we can start shooting right at your appointment time (there is a walk).
5. Bring a blanket + wear coats for the walk from the parking lot
6. Have fun!
